Prime Minister’s greetings to France celebrating National Day

Prime Minister Saulius Skvernelis has extended greetings on behalf of the Government and the people of Lithuania to France celebrating its National Day - the Bastille Day.

‘I welcome our close dialogue and cooperation in addressing key issues relevant to Europe and the world. This year, Lithuania marked its 15th anniversary of EU membership, and our people continue to strongly support the project of a strong and solid European Union that ensures peace and prosperity for the continent. The role of France in maintaining and strengthening the unity of the European Union has been and will continue to be of the utmost importance. I would like to take this opportunity to thank your country for support and solidarity in addressing security challenges facing Lithuania and the entire region’, reads Prime Minister’s letter.
