COVID-19 related restrictions as of 17 June 2020

On 16 June 24:00, the three-month long quarantine ended. As of 17 June, emergency situation regime with the following restrictions applied:

CONTROL OF CROSS-BORDER MOVEMENTS:

  • Restriction of the arrival of regular flights and ferries from the affected countries to Lithuania (the affected countries are those with a total 14-day morbidity rate higher than 25 cases per 100,000 population).
  • Checks are carried out at airports, Klaipėda Seaport, and at the external EU border crossing points with Belarus and Russia (5 points).
  • Control of the arrivals at border crossing points. For those from the affected countries (the EU’s external border with Belarus and Russia (5 points) and ferry from Sweden in Klaipėda Seaport):
    • temperature measurement;
    • mandatory completion of a passenger card within 48 hours, by registering electronically or by filling in a paper form;
    • a 14-day isolation is recommended for all;
    • a possibility to obtain incapacity for work if compulsory isolation is accepted.
  • For those arriving from other countries, i. e. the unaffected countries, no restrictions apply. Travellers are informed and consulted on further steps in case symptoms occur.
  • Passenger control at internal EU borders (Latvia, Poland) is not carried out.

RESTRICTIONS ON ECONOMIC ACTIVITIES:

  • Services and trade in public places:
    • safety distance of 2 meters, may be less if there is a partition or if personal protective equipment is worn;
    • distances in queues are at least 1 meter;
    • disinfection; disinfection of trolleys/baskets at points of sale;
    • hand hygiene (washing or disinfection);
    • prohibition to work with symptoms or if isolation is prescribed;
    • it is recommended that both visitors and staff wear personal protective equipment.

 

  • Leisure and entertainment places:
    • queue distances of at least 1 meter;
    • disinfection;
    • hand hygiene (washing and/or disinfection);
    • prohibition to work with symptoms or if isolation is prescribed;
    • it is recommended that staff wears personal protective equipment.

 

  • Catering establishments (restaurants, cafes, bars, nightclubs, and other places of entertainment):
    • safety distance of 2 meters among persons sitting at tables, may be less if partitions are installed;
    • disinfection;
    • hand hygiene (washing and/or disinfection);prohibition to work with symptoms or if isolation is prescribed;
    • it is recommended that staff wears personal protective equipment;
    • any presentation of food is unrestricted (buffet, counter);
    • working hours are not limited.

 

  • Activities of gambling houses (casinos) and amusement arcades, bingo halls:
    • queue distances of at least 1 meter;
    • disinfection;
    • hand hygiene (washing and/or disinfection);
    • prohibition to work with symptoms or if isolation is prescribed;
    • it is recommended that employees and visitors wear personal protective equipment.

 

  • Events:
    • The number of spectators and participants is limited, with a gradual increase.
      • from 17 June 2020 until 30 June 2020:
        • in outdoor spaces, no more than 700 spectators and/or participants;
        • in indoor spaces, no more than 150 spectators and/or participants.
      • from 1 July 2020 to 16 July 2020:
        • in outdoor spaces, no more than 1,000 spectators and/or participants;
        • in indoor spaces, no more than 200 spectators and/or participants.
    • It is recommended to wear personal protective equipment;
    • disinfection;
    • hand hygiene (washing and/or disinfection);
    • prohibition to work with symptoms or if isolation is prescribed.

 

RESTRICTIONS ON PUBLIC AND ADMINISTRATIVE SERVICES:

  • Educational activities:
    • Unrestricted, if the necessary conditions for public health safety, hygiene, provision of persons with necessary personal protective equipment are ensured:
      • disinfection;
      • hand hygiene (washing and/or disinfection);
      • prohibition to work with symptoms or if isolation is prescribed.

    • Continued remotely if the specified conditions cannot be met.

 

  • Social services:
    • disinfection;
    • hand hygiene (washing and/or disinfection);
    • prohibition to work with symptoms or if isolation is prescribed;
    • the use of personal protective equipment is recommended.

 

  • Health care:
    • services renewal plan;
    • management of visitor flows in accordance with the procedure established by the head of the institution;
    • promotion of remote services, enabling the choice of the method of healthcare service provision that best meets the patient’s expectations;
    • enhanced infection control;
    • provision and use of personal protective equipment;
    • testing strategy.
