Mr. Andrius Kubilius received an official invitation to an annual meeting of the world leaders, traditionally held in Davos, a mountain resort in Switzerland, from the organisers of the event.

“The insights that you shared with us in the discussions in China were very valuable and interesting to a vast number of the participants. Therefore, we would like to extend our invitation to you to continue the talks at the annual meeting of the World Economic Forum, to be held on 23–27 January 2013”, states Klaus Schwab, President of the World Economic Forum, in his letter addressed to Prime Minister Andrius Kubilius.

In September the Prime Minister took part in the Annual Meeting of the New Champions, held in the Chinese city of Tianjin, which is organised by the World Economic Forum and is informally known as the Asian or the Summer Davos.

The meeting, held in Switzerland in 2013, will be dedicated to the topic “Resilient Dynamism”. Among other issues it will discuss a state’s ability to tackle economic and financial crisis.

Meetings of the world business and political meetings in Davos have been organised since 1971.
