Prime Minister Congratulates Finland on Independence Day
On behalf of the Government and people of Lithuania, Acting Prime Minister Ingrida Šimonytė extended warm congratulations to Finland on its Independence Day and wished the country continued prosperity.
„Lithuania and Finland share a deep bond as neighbours, allies, and partners. Together, we stand united in our commitment to democratic values, freedom, and security.
In the face of today’s challenges—including hybrid and cyber threats, as well as incidents in the Baltic Sea—it is evident that our partnership is more crucial than ever. I am proud of the way Lithuania and Finland collaborate to build resilience and ensure the safety of our shared region.
As Russia continues its brutal war against Ukraine, our both countries remain firmly united in providing and increasing support for Ukraine until its victory and beyond.
I am confident that the friendship and cooperation between our peoples and our governments will continue to flourish, strengthening the Nordic-Baltic region, the European Union, and NATO for generations to come,“ – reads the greeting.
