Prime Minister congratulates New Zealand on its National Day
On behalf of the people and the Government of the Republic of Lithuania, Prime Minister Gintautas Paluckas warmly congratulated New Zealand on the occasion of the National Day and wished the country prosperity.
“As the newly elected Prime Minister of Lithuania, I assure you of my Government’s commitment to further deepening bilateral ties and working together for the benefit of both our nations. It is a pleasure to witness the growing political and economic cooperation, as well as the strengthening of people-to-people connections. I look forward to further enhancing our countries' relationship in the years ahead.
In today’s world, we face complex and interconnected global security challenges that pose significant risks to democratic nations. Russia’s ongoing aggression against Ukraine remains a matter of particular concern, as it will shape the future world order. Therefore, we must continue to uphold and advance democratic values, reinforcing our shared commitment to freedom and stability. We deeply appreciate New Zealand’s firm and principled stance in supporting Ukraine, which brings Ukraine closer to victory and peace while further uniting us“, – says the Head of Government in his greeting.
