Prime Minister Congratulates the New Chancellor of the Republic of Austria
On behalf of the people and the Government of the Republic of Lithuania, Prime Minister Gintautas Paluckas warmly congratulated the new Chancellor of the Republic of Austria, Christian Stocker, and wished him strength, wisdom and success.
“Lithuania and Austria share strong bilateral relations based on common values, including respect for democracy, human rights, and the rule of law. I am confident that our cooperation — both bilaterally and within the European Union and international frameworks — will continue to thrive, contributing to a peaceful, secure, and prosperous Europe.
At a time when the very foundations of the European and global security order are being shaken, European unity is of utmost importance, as are our collective efforts to preserve peace and defend democratic values. I firmly believe that Lithuania and Austria, together with their partners, will continue to strengthen cooperation in pursuit of a safer and more stable future. Our solidarity and steadfast support for Ukraine and its people, as they strive to prevail against Russia’s unprovoked and unjustified aggression, remain essential,” says the Head of Government in his greetings.
