Prime Minister extends greetings to Austria celebrating its national holiday

Prime Minister Saulius Skvernelis has extended greetings on behalf of the Government and the people of Lithuania to Austria on the occasion of the national holiday, along with his best wishes for prosperity.

‘We very much appreciate our long-lasting solid partnership-based ties in the European Union and the successful bilateral cooperation. I firmly believe that the Member States will, through their concerted efforts, overcome the challenges posed by the Covid-19 pandemic.
Both Lithuania and Austria are interested in strengthening the European Union, in successful implementation of the Green Deal, sound migration policy and in promotion of common values in the European Union and in neighbouring countries.
I am certain that the ties between our countries in the fields of culture and economy and people-to-people contacts will continue to grow, and the cooperation between the Governments will continue to progress in the most friendly spirit’, reads Prime Minister’s letter.
