Prime Minister extends greetings to Latvia celebrating its Independence Day

Prime Minister Saulius Skvernelis has extended greetings on behalf of the Government and the people of Lithuania to Latvia celebrating its 101st anniversary of the Independence Day.

‘The annual celebration of the Baltic Unity Day, inspired by the close neighbourhood, common historical experience and brotherly ties, shows that the unity of the Baltic nations is getting ever stronger’, reads Prime Minister’s letter.

The Prime Minister has noted the long-lasting ties between the nations and their close partnership in the European Union and NATO, particularly focusing on the common security challenges.

Saulius Skvernelis has extended greetings to the Latvian Prime Minister on the successful chairmanship of the Baltic Council of Ministers and thanks for the well organised Baltic Way commemoration ceremony in Riga.
