Prime Minister extends greetings to the people of Italy on the occasion of the Republic Day

On behalf of the Government, Prime Minister Saulius Skvernelis extends sincere greetings to the people of Italy on the occasion of the Republic Day of Italy.  
‘This year the celebration will be different because of the COVID-19 pandemic that has hit our countries hard. It tests the resilience of our health systems, the strength of our economies, and the solidarity among individuals and states. I am convinced that innovative solutions of national governments will allow us to address the challenges of the pandemic, and we will emerge stronger from the crisis. I highly value the close dialogue we have had in developing our bilateral partnership and cooperation in regional and international organizations. I also firmly believe in our shared positions and common efforts for a peaceful and secure future of Europe. I am convinced that Lithuania and Italy will continue close cooperation in the EU and NATO,’ reads the Prime Minister’s letter.
