Prime Minister: Lithuania is ready to help China to fight the epidemic

Prime Minister Saulius Skvernelis sent a letter to Li Keqiang, the Prime Minister of the People's Republic of China, stating that Lithuania is ready to help the Chinese authorities to prevent the spread of the epidemic worldwide.

'Let me express our solidarity with the Chinese people, medical workers and frontline fighters in their relentless efforts to combat the coronavirus outbreak. We have been closely following the developments related with the spread of this new virus that crosses national borders and we very much hope that it will be contained in the near future. Please be assured that Lithuania, together with its partners and international organizations, stands ready to offer humanitarian aid and to closer cooperate with relevant Chinese authorities to prevent the spread of the epidemic worldwide,' reads the Prime Minister's letter.
