Prime Minister sends his greetings to Latvia on 35th anniversary of restoration of independence
Prime Minister Gintautas Paluckas sends his greetings to Latvia on the occasion of the 35th anniversary of the restoration of independence along with best wishes for peace, prosperity and strength to the people of Latvia.
‘This historic milestone marks an inspiring journey – one of courage, resilience, and unwavering dedication to freedom and democracy. Over these 35 years, Latvia has built a modern and dynamic state, and together we can take pride in the remarkable achievements of our Baltic nations. In the face of Russia’s ongoing war in Ukraine, we are reminded more than ever of the importance of unity, of protecting our hard-won independence, and of cherishing our unique national identities.
As close neighbours and trusted partners, Lithuania and Latvia continue to speak with one voice in defence of our region’s security and of a free, growing, and united Europe – within the Baltic context, as well as in the EU and NATO.
Please accept the assurances of my highest consideration, along with my heartfelt wishes for peace, prosperity, and continued strength to the people of Latvia. May this day of celebration inspire even greater unity and determination as we look to the future’, reads Prime Minister’s message of greetings.
