Prime Minister sends National Day greetings to Canada
Prime Minister Gintautas Paluckas s sending a message of greetings to Canada, which is celebrating its National Day on 1 July.
'This day is a celebration of Canada’s enduring values — democracy, freedom, and respect for human rights — principles that Lithuania deeply shares and cherishes. Our nations are bound by a strong and growing partnership, rooted in these shared ideals and sustained by a spirit of friendship and cooperation.
Our friendship is strengthened not only by our common principles, but also by the vibrant Lithuanian diaspora in Canada, which continues to play a vital role in fostering close ties between our nations,’ reads Prime Minister’s letter.
'We are especially grateful for Canada’s strong support for the security of the Baltic region and its strong commitment within NATO. In the face of Russia’s ongoing war against Ukraine and growing global instability, our partnership remains essential in defending the values we both hold dear,' added Prime Minister Paluckas.
