Prime Minister’s greetings to Spain celebrating its National Day

Prime Minister Saulius Skvernelis has extended greetings to the people of the Kingdom of Spain on the National Day of Spain.

‘I am pleased to take this opportunity to express Lithuania’s high appreciation of the friendly relations with Spain as a strong and reliable partner in the European Union and NATO, as well as hopes for our further full-scale bilateral collaboration. This year the celebration will be different because of the COVID-19 pandemic that has hit our countries hard. It tests the resilience of our health systems, the strength of our economies, and the solidarity among individuals and states. Nevertheless, I am convinced that innovative solutions of national governments will allow us to address the challenges of the pandemic, and we will emerge stronger from the crisis’, reads Prime Minister’s letter.
