Prime Minister Saulius Skvernelis has extended greetings to newly appointed Prime Minister of Ukraine Denys Shmyhal, wishing all the best in the new capacity.

‘The bond between Lithuania and Ukraine is particularly close. I have no doubts that the cooperation between our two countries will continue to grow while building on our previous achievements. Lithuania will continue to support the choice of Ukraine and its people to work as closely as possible with the European Union and NATO to create a secure future for Ukraine and for the whole Europe to that matter’, said Saulius Skvernelis in a letter to the new Head of the Ukrainian Government.

Saulius Skvernelis has invited Shmyhal to attend one of the most important events this year, the fourth Ukrainian reform conference in Vilnius, to be held this July. This conference is a great opportunity to attract the attention and mobilise support to Ukraine’s reform efforts internationally.
