Prime Minister Congratulates Bulgaria on Its National Day
Prime Minister Mindaugas Sinkevičius, on behalf of the Government, extended his warmest congratulations to Bulgaria on the occasion of its National Day.
“Lithuania highly values the friendly relations and close cooperation between our countries. Bulgaria’s accession to the euro area marks an important step in its European integration. We look forward to further deepening our cooperation within the European Union and NATO.
At the time of growing geopolitical uncertainty, European unity and solidarity remain essential. Lithuania appreciates Bulgaria’s contribution to strengthening European security and its continued support for Ukraine. As Lithuania prepares to assume the Presidency of the Council of the European Union in the first half of 2027, we look forward to working closely with Bulgaria in advancing our shared European priorities.
I wish you and the people of Bulgaria peace, prosperity, and continued success. I look forward to continuing our close partnership,” the head of government said in his congratulatory message.
