Prime Minister Congratulates Romania’s New Head of Government
Prime Minister Mindaugas Sinkevičius, on behalf of the Government of the Republic of Lithuania, congratulated Luca Niculescu on assuming the office of Prime Minister of Romania.
"Let me express my gratitude for Romania’s valuable contribution to NATO’s air defence, particularly through the deployment of Romanian forces in our airspace. This significantly contributes to the security and stability of our region. As Europe faces evolving security challenges, countries in the Eastern Flank play a crucial role in safeguarding Europe’s security.
In the context of Russia’s war against Ukraine, Lithuania is looking forward to further strengthening bilateral ties between our like-minded countries and our partnership within the European Union and NATO. Our continued support to Ukraine is of utmost importance.
I can assure you that the Government of Lithuania is ready to work with you and your Government to achieve the common goal of strengthening our bilateral relations as well as European and trans-Atlantic cooperation objectives,” the Prime Minister’s congratulatory message states.
