Prime Minister has met with Apostolic Nuncio Petar Rajič
Today, Prime Minister Ingrida Šimonytė has met with Apostolic Nuncio Archbishop Dr Petar Rajič.
‘This year is testing for everyone, including the Catholic Church in Lithuania. The role of the Church in upholding the spirit of the people during difficult times is highly important,’ said Šimonytė.
Šimonytė has thanked the Apostolic Nuncio for the understanding in limiting the activities of the Church during the lockdown.
In September, Lithuania and the Holy See will mark the 30th anniversary of the re-establishment of diplomatic relations. The Prime Minister has thanked the Catholic Church in Lithuania for fostering interfaith and ecumenical relations, which contribute to the development of concord and community spirit in Lithuania.
