Chancellor of the Government Discusses Lithuania-UAE Ties and Digital Agenda Priorities With UAE Minister of Cabinet Affairs
On Tuesday, Chancellor of the Government Giedrė Balčytytė, who is continuing her working visit to Dubai in the United Arab Emirates (UAE), met with the Minister of Cabinet Affairs of the UAE, Mohammad Al Gergawi, to discuss bilateral relations between Lithuania and the UAE, as well as priorities of the digital agenda.
The Chancellor of the Government emphasised that there is still room to expand bilateral cooperation between Lithuania and the UAE, and that the two countries share a common view on the importance of innovative technologies and digitalisation not only for individual countries but also globally.
G. Balčytytė stressed that Lithuania has a lot to share in the field of innovation and high-technology and expressed interest in strengthening bilateral cooperation in these areas.
The Chancellor highlighted that regular direct flights between the two countries are essential for strengthening bilateral cooperation.
The Chancellor of the Government, who is attending the World Governments Summit, underlined the importance of preserving and strengthening the rules-based world order.
