Head of Government Congratulates Czechia on Its National Day
Prime Minister Mindaugas Sinkevičius, on behalf of the Government of the Republic of Lithuania, extended his sincere congratulations to the people of the Czech Republic on the occasion of their national day.
“Lithuania greatly values its friendly relations with the Czech Republic and our close cooperation within the European Union, NATO, and other international formats. We remain deeply grateful for the Czech Republic’s steadfast contribution to NATO’s collective defence and the security of its Eastern Flank, in particular through its participation in NATO’s Forward Land Forces in Lithuania and its contributions to air policing in the Baltic region, as well as its strong and principled support for Ukraine.
We remain committed to further strengthening our cooperation in promoting our shared values and interests within the European Union and NATO and to addressing today’s challenges through solidarity and shared responsibility.
As Lithuania prepares to assume the Presidency of the Council of the European Union in the first half of 2027, we look forward to working closely with the Czech Republic in advancing our shared European priorities,” the Prime Minister’s congratulatory message reads.
