Gintautas Paluckas Congratulates the New Prime Minister of Canada

Prime Minister Gintautas Paluckas congratulated the new Prime Minister of Canada, Mark Carney, on his appointment. The Lithuanian Prime Minister wished the new Head of the Government of Canada every success in leading the country and navigating the challenges ahead.

'Lithuania and Canada share a long-standing friendship and excellent bilateral relations, built on mutual trust and common democratic values. We deeply appreciate Canada’s steadfast commitment to the security of the Baltic region, including its significant contribution to NATO’s deterrence and defense efforts.

I am delighted that, despite the great distance between our countries, the strong and well-established Lithuanian community in Canada brings us closer together, enriching Canada’s cultural and social fabric while further strengthening the enduring friendship between our nations.

At this critical time, we must further strengthen our cooperation, united by our common values and our unwavering support for Ukraine’s sovereignty and freedom. I look forward to working together to deepen our partnership in pursuit of a safer and more resilient transatlantic community', - states the Prime Minister's letter of greetings.
