Head of Government Congratulates Andorra on the occasion of the National Day
On behalf of the Government and the people of Lithuania, Prime Minister Ingrida Šimonytė congratulated Andorra on the occasion of the National Day, along with best wishes for their well-being and prosperity.
“I avail myself of this opportunity to express my delight in our bilateral relationship, which has been strengthened by your visit to Lithuania in April of this year. Cooperation among like-minded democracies is more important now than ever. I am confident that our relations and cooperation will continue to grow.
Your principled stance in the face of Russia’s war against Ukraine, along with your support for European Union sanctions against the aggressor, serves as an example. I believe that by maintaining our solidarity, we will not only help to overcome the horrors of the war we face today but will also strengthen the values of freedom and democracy.
We are very grateful for Andorra’s financial support for Lithuania’s school renovation project in Ukraine, which offers hope for a brighter future to those suffering from the war and is already helping them practically cope with the great challenges of reconstruction,“ stated Prime Minister in her greetings.
