Head of Government Congratulates Egypt on Its National Day
On behalf of the Government and the people of Lithuania, Prime Minister Ingrida Šimonytė congratulated the Arab Republic of Egypt on the occasion of the country's national holiday, Revolution Day.
“I would like to express our appreciation for Egypt’s continued stabilizing role in the region, as well as its mediation efforts in fostering regional stability, peace and security. The deepening dialogue between Egypt and the EU is encouraging and highly valued.
As Russia continues its brutal war against Ukraine, it is of utmost importance for the entire democratic world to remain united and increase our support to Ukraine. We must also exert pressure on Russia to stop its aggression and the use of grain and hunger as manipulative weapons in this war.
I greatly value the friendly relations and cooperation between Lithuania and Egypt, rooted in our shared values. I am confident that these ties will continue to grow for the mutual benefit of our countries and their people,“ stated the Head of the Government in her greetings.
