Head of Government Congratulates Portugal
Prime Minister Ingrida Šimonytė is sending a message of greetings, on behalf of the Government and the people of Lithuania, to Portugal on the Day of Portugal.
‘I am pleased to take this opportunity to express appreciation of our shared goal of keeping and further strengthening the unity of the EU and NATO, which is much needed facing today’s multiple challenges.
We stand firmly together in strengthening the principles of freedom, democracy, and peace. l believe that our countries will keep showing solidarity and steadfast support to Ukraine and its people, as they fight for their sovereignty, territorial integrity, and freedom of Europe.
l am convinced that the partnership between our countries, shared values, economic, cultural, and people-to-people contacts will continue to grow, and that our joint efforts will contribute to faster achievement of durable peace on the European continent,’ reads the Prime Minister’s message of greetings.
