Head of Government extends greetings to Austria on its National Day
On behalf of the Government of the Republic of Lithuania, Prime Minister Ingrida Šimonytė has sent a message of sincere greetings to Austria celebrating its National Day.
‘l highly value the long lasting cooperative relationship between our countries, our people and our partnership in the EU and other international organizations. The solidarity and close cooperation of our countries are even more essential when a brutal and unprecedented war is being waged against Ukraine, against democracy and against the rules-based international order.
Our continued unity in supporting Ukraine is very important. As we share the same values of freedom, democracy, and respect for human rights, I firmly believe that our common efforts will help to overcome the evil we face and build a peaceful and secure future for Europe. Our consistent position in strengthening the sanctions against Russia and Belarus is important to show that Europe will not cave in to aggressor’s blackmailing and will stand up for its values’, reads Prime Minister’s letter.
