Prime Minister Congratulated Romania on the Great Union Day
On behalf of the people and the Government of Lithuania, Prime Minister Ingrida Šimonytė extended sincere congratulations to Romania on the Great Union Day.
'Lithuania and Romania continue the mutually beneficiaI bilateraIcooperation as well as close collaboration in the European Union and NATO. Let me use this opportunity to express my gratitude for Romania's valuable contribution to the NATO Air Policing Mission in the Baltic States.
l am sure that Lithuania and Romania, as close allies and friends, will carry on joint efforts in helping Ukraine win the war against Russia's aggression, in bringing closer the Republic of Moldova to the family of the European Union and in enhancing democratic values, and peace around the world, while keeping the rules-based internationaI order.
