Prime Minister Congratulates France on its National Day
Prime Minister Gintautas Paluckas extended his congratulations to the Prime Minister of the French Republic, François Bayrou, and the people of France on the occasion of the national holiday – Bastille Day. The Lithuanian Prime Minister wished success to the government led by Mr Bayrou and prosperity and well-being to the people of France.
“Lithuania highly values its close bilateral relations with France and seeks to further strengthen our strategic partnership. We are pleased to have a reliable partner with whom we cooperate in a wide range of areas – from culture and science to defence and high technologies,” Mr Paluckas said in his message.
The Prime Minister emphasised that Lithuania particularly appreciates France’s contribution to the security of the Baltic region and its active participation in the NATO Air Policing Mission.
“Your strong and consistent support for Ukraine and European security demonstrates a clear commitment to defending our fundamental values: liberty, equality, and fraternity. Only by acting together can we overcome shared challenges and build a peaceful, strong, and resilient Europe,” the letter concluded.
