On behalf of the Government, Prime Minister Ingrida Šimonytė sincerely congratulated Greece on its Independence Day and wished its people prosperity and well-being.

Let me use the opportunity to express my sincere gratitude to your leadership for showing exceptional solidarity and steadfast support to Ukraine and its people as they fight for their sovereignty, territorial integrity and for the Europe’s freedom. Your personal engagement and the courage in helping Ukraine serve as an example for many that there is no stronger power than the solidarity of democracies.
