Prime Minister Congratulates Hungary on Its National Day
Prime Minister Mindaugas Sinkevičius, on behalf of the Government and people of the Republic of Lithuania, extended his sincere congratulations to Hungary on the occasion of its National Day.
“This year also marks the 70th anniversary of the Hungarian Revolution of 1956. The courage of the Hungarian people in their struggle for freedom and independence became a powerful symbol of resistance and inspired hope for freedom across Central and Eastern Europe. The legacy of 1956 remains an important part of our shared European heritage and a lasting reminder of the value of freedom and democracy.
Lithuania and Hungary share longstanding historical ties and a close relationship rooted in our common place within the Euro-Atlantic community. I am confident that, under your leadership, our countries will advance bilateral cooperation and will work together to promote European unity, security, and resilience.
Lithuania highly values its cooperation with Hungary and looks forward to deepening our partnership in areas of shared interest. I wish the people of Hungary continued peace, prosperity, and success,” the Prime Minister said in his congratulatory message.
