Prime Minister Congratulates New Zealand on Its National Day
Prime Minister Inga Ruginienė, on behalf of the people and Government of the Republic of Lithuania, extended her sincere congratulations to New Zealand on its National Day.
“The bilateral relationship between Lithuania and New Zealand continues to grow in strength and significance. We value the close political, economic, and people-to-people ties that unite our countries and look forward to further expanding our cooperation in the years ahead.
In today’s world, democracies face complex and interconnected security challenges. Russia’s ongoing aggression against Ukraine continues to pose a significant threat to the rules-based international order. We deeply appreciate New Zealand’s firm and principled support for Ukraine, including through coordination with NATO partners and other international efforts. Your commitment not only strengthens Ukraine’s ability to defend its sovereignty but also contributes to global security, stability, and the promotion of democratic values.
I am confident that our shared values and common interests will continue to guide the further strengthening of our bilateral partnership and our cooperation in addressing global challenges,“ states the Prime Minister's greeting.
