Prime Minister Congratulates Newly Sworn-In Head of the Australian Government
Prime Minister Gintautas Paluckas extended his congratulations to the newly sworn-in Prime Minister of Australia, Anthony Albanese, wishing him and his Government every success in their future endeavours.
"Lithuania highly values the close partnership with Australia — a like-minded country with which we share a commitment to democracy, freedom, and human rights. Your continued leadership and Australia’s steadfast support for Ukraine, as well as your engagement in upholding the rules-based international order, are deeply appreciated. Despite the great geographical distance, our nations are united by strong people-to-people ties — not least thanks to the vibrant and active Lithuanian community in Australia, which continues to serve as a living bridge between our countries," as stated in Prime Minister G. Paluckas’s message of congratulations.
"Lithuania is placing a high priority on strengthening ties with Australia and the broader Indo-Pacific region," the letter adds, also highlighting the potential for economic co-operation between the two countries, particularly in high value-added sectors.
