Prime Minister Congratulates Poland on the Day of 3 May Constitution

Prime Minister Gintautas Paluckas congratulated Donald Tusk, President of the Council of Ministers of the Republic of Poland, and the people of the Republic of Poland on the occasion of Constitution Day on 3 May.

The Head of Government highlighted the ideals that unite Lithuania and Poland and have not lost their importance, as enshrined in the Constitution of the Polish-Lithuanian Commonwealth.

'Lithuania and Poland are brotherly nations, our close relations are strengthened by common history and by the shared goals of the present. Our partnership is based on the values of freedom, dignity, sovereignty and democracy. These values are even more important today, when our region is facing very serious challenges. Our unity and solidarity, in particular in support of Ukraine, is a strong and essential response to attempts to dismantle the rules-based world order.

I am convinced that the close partnership between Lithuania and Poland, our strategic dialogue and our friendship will continue to be a solid foundation for the future of our countries and Europe', said the Prime Minister.
