Prime Minister Congratulates Sakartvelo on Independence Day
Prime Minister Ingrida Šimonytė sends Independence Day greetings to people of Sakartvelo.
The people of Sakartvelo are celebrating this day at a challenging time for the country, when their fundamental right to sovereignty and the European future of Sakartvelo are under threat. ‘The people of Sakartvelo have clearly chosen a European and Euro-Atlantic future for their country. Lithuania firmly supports this decision’, underlines the Prime Minister. At the same time, the Lithuanian Head of Government urges the Sakartvelo authorities to implement the will of the nation and return to the course of European integration, as enshrined in the Sakartvelo Constitution.
‘The people of Sakartvelo deserve a prosperous European future, and I sincerely wish this for Sakartvelo and its people,’ reads Prime Minister’s message of greetings.
