Prime Minister extends congratulations to the new Chancellor of Austria
Prime Minister Ingrida Šimonytė has extended warmest congratulations to Karl Nehammer on his appointment as Chancellor of the Republic of Austria.
‘I highly value the existing partnership between Lithuania and Austria, as well as friendly relations between our people. In the context of complex challenges that the European Union faces today, close cooperation between the Member States acquires special relevance. My Government is determined to work closely with you in further strengthening our bilateral relations and enhancing cooperation in the EU for a stronger and safer Europe and our Neighbourhood, continuing to defend the founding values of the European Union,’ reads the Prime Minister’s letter.
