Prime Minister Extends Greetings to Australia Celebrating Its National Day
On behalf of the Government and the people of Lithuania, Prime Minister Gintautas Paluckas has sent a message of greetings to Australia celebrating its National Day.
‘As the newly elected Prime Minister of Lithuania, l assure you of my Government's commitment to fostering closer ties with Australia and the lndo-Pacific region.
l deeply value the amicable relations between Lithuania and Australia, as well as Australian Lithuanian community's role in strengthening our partnership, and l look forward to further deepening our collaboration’, said the Head of the Government in his greetings.
Prime Minister stressed that it is gratifying to see the continuing growth of political, economic, and people-to-people connections, and expressed his belief that, as nations sharing common values, Lithuania and Australia will further strengthen their cooperation in enhancing bilateral ties and upholding the rules-based international order.
‘Amid Russia's ongoing war in Ukraine and the growing influence of authoritarian regimes worldwide, the partnership between our nations and societies has become more crucial than ever. Together, we must continue to uphold and advance democratic values, reinforcing our shared commitment to freedom and stability. We deeply appreciate Australia's firm and principled stance in supporting Ukraine, which brings Ukraine closer to victory and peace while further uniting us all’, said Prime Minister Gintautas Paluckas.
