Prime Minister extends greetings to Estonia on the 30th anniversary of the Day of Restoration of Independence
On behalf of the Government and the people of the Republic of Lithuania, Prime Minister Ingrida Šimonytė extends sincere greetings to Estonia on the occasion of the 30th anniversary of the Day of Restoration of Independence.
‘The restoration of Estonia’s independence and the remarkable achievements since then is a testimony of perseverance against great odds in the cause of freedom, and today serves as an inspiration for many nations across the globe. As very close friends and allies, today our two nations are working closely together in strengthening the EU and NATO, and sharing responsibility for regional security and for a Europe that is whole and free. The recent challenges that we had to confront have only shown our strong will and ability to address complex problems while remaining faithful to our shared ideals of freedom and democracy. I firmly believe that a strong partnership based on mutual values and understanding that we keep working on every day will continue to serve as a strong foundation for our cooperation in the years to come,’ reads the Prime Minister’s letter.
