Prime Minister extends greetings to Luxembourg on the National Day
On behalf of the Government and the people of Lithuania, Prime Minister Ingrida Šimonytė extends sincere greetings to Luxembourg on the National Day.
The Prime Minister has welcomed the excellent relations and cooperation between the two countries in a wide range of areas, especially in the fields of renewable energy, culture, and education, as well as close bilateral cooperation in international organisations.
‘Luxembourg is Lithuania’s very important partner in strengthening peace and security in our region. We appreciate your support and highly value the contribution of Luxembourg’s troops to NATO’s Enhanced Forward Presence multinational battlegroup in Lithuania,’ reads the Prime Minister’s letter.
According to the Prime Minister, it is symbolic that Esch-sur-Alzette and Kaunas have been designated as European Capitals of Culture 2022. In this connection, Prime Minister Šimonytė has invited Prime Minister of Luxembourg Xavier Bettel to pay a visit to Lithuania next year or at any time of his convenience.
The Prime Minister has wished the people of Luxembourg every success, wellbeing, and prosperity.
