Prime Minister extends greetings to Montenegro celebrating its Statehood Day
Prime Minister Ingrida Šimonytė extends sincere greetings to Montenegro on the occasion of the Statehood Day.
‘I highly value the friendly relations and cooperation between our countries and have no doubts that it will be further strengthened for the mutual benefit of our countries, their people and Europe as a whole, as we strive to build a peaceful and secure future.
Our unity in supporting Ukraine and in strengthening the sanctions against Russia and Belarus are of the utmost importance. We can achieve peace and Europe which is strong and not susceptible to aggressors’ blackmail only if we stand united.
I avail myself of this occasion to express once again the Lithuanian Government’s support to the merits-based EU enlargement policy in the Western Balkans region. Democratic and value-aligned principles are of the utmost importance to us, and they are the basis of the European Union.
I sincerely wish the Montenegrin Government and all the people of Montenegro prosperity and well-being’, said Head of the Government.
