Prime Minister extends greetings to Portugal
On behalf of the Government, Prime Minister extends sincere greetings to the people of Portugal on the occasion of the Day of Portugal and wishes every success.
‘I am pleased to take this opportunity to express Lithuania’s high appreciation of the friendly relations with Portugal as a strong and reliable partner in the European Union and NATO. We are thankful for Portugal’s contribution to the Air Policing Mission. I look forward to working with you in further strengthening our shared values in bilateral, the European Union, and transatlantic relations,’ reads the Prime Minister’s letter.
The Head of Government has also congratulated Portugal on the successful Presidency of the Council of the European Union at a particularly difficult time, when the COVID-19 pandemic and its socio-economic consequences pose an unprecedented challenge for the EU and its Member States.
