Prime Minister extends greetings to Singapore on National Day
On behalf of the Government and the people of Lithuania, Prime Minister Ingrida Šimonytė has sent a message of greetings to Singapore celebrating its National Day.
‘Let me take this opportunity to share my delight about the friendly relations between our countries. Lithuania places a high priority on enhancing ties with Singapore and other nations in the Indo-Pacific region, particularly within the economic sphere and with a distinct emphasis on innovations and high value-added sectors.
I have fond memories of my visit to Singapore in May, which confirmed to me the untapped potential to further strengthen our dialogue and extend our collaboration to new fields. I look forward to deepening our bilateral ties to bring Lithuania and Singapore even closer together for the mutual benefit of our two nations.
The cooperation between the like-minded countries in the face of the current global and geopolitical challenges is of utmost importance. As Russia continues its brutal war against Ukraine, it is critical for the entire democratic world to remain united and increase our further support to Ukraine till its victory and beyond’, reads Prime Minister’s letter.
