Prime Minister Extends Greetings to the Kingdom of Belgium on Its National Day
On behalf of the Government and the people of Lithuania, Prime Minister Ingrida Šimonytė has sent a message of sincere greetings to the Kingdom of Belgium celebrating its National Day, along with her wishes for success and prosperity.
“Lithuania highly values the closest friendship ever and cooperation between our countries. The Belgian contribution to NATO’s Enhanced Forward Presence battalion in Lithuania, as well as your input to NATO’s Baltic Air Policing Mission, demonstrates the firm commitment of your country and the Alliance to defend our common values.
Taking this opportunity i would like to stress the importance of the unity of our countries in keeping the rules-based international order and seeking to support Ukraine till its victory and beyond, because Ukrainians are fighting not only for their sovereignty and territorial integrity but also for the freedom of Europe. Our consistent position in strengthening the sanctions against Russia and Belarus is of utmost importance to show that Europe will not cave in to aggressor’s blackmailing and will stand up for its values," says the Prime Minister's greetings.
