‘On behalf of the Government of the Republic of Lithuania, I would like to extend to you our sincere greetings on the occasion of the golden jubilee, the 50th anniversary of the United Arab Emirates’ historic unification. The United Arab Emirates is Lithuania’s important political and economic partner in the Middle East and the Gulf region. May I assure you that we stand ready to work closely with you in enhancing cooperation between the Emirates and Lithuania in the fields of politics, science, and culture. We see great potential for our economic ties to grow further. We appreciate your country’s continued support for Lithuania’s candidates elected to various international organisations – the UNESCO Executive Board and the UN Human Rights Council. Let me take this opportunity to reiterate our commitment to actively work together to strengthen the friendship between our two nations,’ reads the Prime Minister’s letter.
