Prime Minister Mindaugas Sinkevičius’s greetings on Jewish New Year
I extend my heartfelt greetings to the Jewish people in Lithuania and around the world on Rosh Hashanah, the Jewish New Year.
This special occasion invites us to pause, reflect on the year that has passed, and look ahead to the new year with hope. It is a time to hold our loved ones a little closer and to appreciate the priceless gifts of family, community, and togetherness.
At a time when there is so much uncertainty around us, we must cherish the bonds that unite us. It is important to Lithuania that every person feels safe and respected, and is free to practise their faith and preserve their traditions and identity. The Jewish community in Lithuania is an integral part of our country’s history and present, and its vitality continues to enrich our society.
May the New Year bring your community peace and unity. May it be filled with the warmth of loved ones, a strong sense of togetherness, and hope for a peaceful future.
