Prime Minister Ingrida Šimonytė has opened up the Business Forum of Lithuania and the United Arab Emirates (UAE).

‘I see many opportunities for our both countries to work together and build the future with innovative solutions, particularly in the fields of biotechnology, lasers and renewable energy, to improve public services through govtech solutions and in other areas to improve people's daily lives and promote sustainability’, noted the Prime Minister of Lithuania in her opening speech.

Today, 22 October, the Prime Minister participates in the National Day of Lithuania in Dubai. One of the most important highlights of today is the business mission and forum organised by Enterprise Lithuania and the Rural Business and Market Development Agency Litfood.

The business forum is attended by more than 100 representatives from diverse sectors, including lasers, life sciences, information technology, financial technology, and food industries.

‘70% of all investments in Lithuania go to IT, life sciences, and fintech. We have one of the most promising start-up ecosystems in Europe. We lead the EU in licenced fintech, our lasers are used by the likes of NASA, and CERN. I very much hope that the B2B forum meetings will be plentiful and lead to new partnerships for the benefit of our countries and the people of the world’, said the Prime Minister.

The National Day will be rounded up with the Vilnius City Opera and the Lithuanian State Symphony Orchestra (conductor Gintaras Rinkevičius), and the Lithuanian Opera talents. The director of the concert of the National Day of Lithuania is Dalia Ibelhauptaitė.
