Prime Minister sends greetings to Latvia on Independence Day
On behalf of the Government and people of the Republic of Lithuania, the Prime Minister sends her sincere greetings to Latvia on Independence Day, along with the best wishes for unity, prosperity, and progress.
‘Today, our shared resolve matters more than ever. Standing shoulder to shoulder, our nations continue to strengthen the resilience of our region, defend the principles of freedom and democracy, and contribute to a safer and more united Europe.
Our communion affirms the closeness of Lithuania’s and Latvia’s partnership – one rooted in trust, shared values, and a common vision for the security and prosperity of our region.
I would also like to note the importance of the Baltic Council of Ministers’ format and to thank Latvia for its successful presidency in 2025. I look forward to the upcoming formal meeting of the Baltic Prime Ministers in Riga on 12 December, which will provide an excellent opportunity to further strengthen our cooperation and regional unity.
I wish the people of Latvia success, unity, and well-being. May Latvia’s path forward remain guided by freedom, solidarity, and the spirit of progress that has inspired your nation for over a century,’ reads Prime Minister’s message of greetings.
