Prime Minister sends greetings to Norway on Constitution Day

On behalf of Lithuanian people and the Government, Prime Minister Gintautas Paluckas is sending warm greetings to Norway on the occasion of Constitution Day, along his wishes for national prosperity.

‘The friendship between Lithuania and Norway is strong and enduring, built on our shared values and a mutual commitment to defending freedom, democracy, and peace. ln today's world, where democracies are increasingly challenged, our unity and close cooperation are more vital than ever.

Lithuania greatly appreciates Norway's active role in NATO’s presence in the Baltic region, which is essential for ensuring the security of our countries and the wider Euro-Atlantic area. ln the face of Russia's unjustified aggression against Ukraine, our continued support remains crucial. Lithuania values your personal leadership and Norway's unwavering solidarity with Ukraine as it defends its sovereignty, territorial integrity, and the freedom of all Europe.

I am confident that the close ties between our nations will continue to grow through our joint efforts to uphold democratic principles and promote peace globally,’ reads the message of greetings by the Head of Government.
