On behalf of the Government and the people of Lithuania, Prime Minister Ingrida Šimonytė warmly congratulated Slovakia on its Constitution Day.

“I am proud that our two nations remain committed to the shared ideals of liberty and democracy and are working closely together to build a strong and forward-looking Europe, as well as sustainable peace on our continent and beyond.

Slovakia’s contribution to NATO’s enhanced forward presence in the Baltic states demonstrates the firm commitment of your country and the Alliance as a whole to defend our common values.

As Russia continues its premeditated war against Ukraine, it is as important as ever for the EU and all the democratic world to remain united, and to help Ukraine with maximum efforts in defending its territory and our shared values.

I have no doubt that with joint efforts, we will continue to strengthen our friendship and cooperation for the benefit of our countries, our people, and the whole of Europe,” reads the greeting from the Head of Government.
