Prime Minister to leave on an official visit to Estonia

On 1-2 July, Prime Minister Ingrida Šimonytė will pay her first official visit to Estonia.

The visit agenda includes meetings with Prime Minister of Estonia Kaja Kallas and Speaker of the Estonian Parliament Jüri Ratas. The meetings are expected to cover such items as possibilities of strengthening the bilateral relations and economic cooperation, coordination of national positions before important EU-NATO meetings, support for the Eastern Partnership countries, the security situation in the region, and Belarussian regime’s weaponised illegal migration.

The Prime Minister intends to raise the issue of the unsafe Astravyets NPP, and to discuss the strategic energy and transport projects, and pandemic management.

The Prime Minister will pay tribute to the victims of communism laying flowers at the Memorial, she will also meet with the local Lithuanian community and give an interview for the Estonian media.
