Prime Minister wishes Finland a happy Independence Day
Prime Minister Ingrida Šimonytė has extended warmest greetings to Finland on the occasion of the Independence Day.
‘Lithuania highly values the existing friendship and close cooperation between our nations. Strong bonds between Lithuania and Finland are based on shared values and are strengthened by close people-to-people contacts, trade and investments, and cooperation in culture, education, and science. As Lithuania is getting ready to coordinate the Nordic-Baltic cooperation in 2022, I would be looking forward to your support and cooperation in this very important format. I would like to use this opportunity to express appreciation for your country’s help to Lithuania in dealing with a hybrid attack on the EU-Belarus border. In the face of the old and new security challenges, cooperation between like-minded nations is becoming ever more important,’ reads the Prime Minister’s letter.
