Prime Minister wishes Greece happy 200 years of independence

On behalf of the Government and the people of Lithuania, Prime Minister Ingrida Šimonytė wishes the Hellenic Republic a happy Bicentenary Independence Day.

‘This anniversary is important for the entire Europe. 200 years ago, it was the first national liberation movement in Europe that later on inspired similar movements in other countries and regions, including Lithuania. I am delighted that relations between our countries grow stronger every day. I am convinced that our Governments will remain committed to strengthening cooperation where it is already strong, and looking for new opportunities in areas where the potential has not yet been fulfilled. I sincerely wish your country and your people well-being and prosperity,’ reads the Prime Minister’s letter.
