Prime Minister wishes the community of the Order of Malta a happy Feast of the Nativity of St. John the Baptist
On behalf of the people and the Government of the Republic of Lithuania, Prime Minister Ingrida Šimonytė extends sincere greetings to the community of the Sovereign Military Order of Malta on the occasion of the Feast Day of the Nativity of John the Baptist, and conveys gratitude for the noble mission of the Order.
‘We appreciate the endeavours of the Order in promoting voluntary activities in Lithuania, drawing the public’s attention to those who are the weakest and the most vulnerable, and involving young people in social initiatives. The contribution of the volunteers of the Order of Malta in fighting the devastating pandemic while saving lives, offering consolation, and helping everyone in need is of paramount importance. The spirit of the Order of Malta inspires and encourages us to foster the value of humanity,’ reads the Prime Minister’s letter.
Prime Minister Šimonytė extends her sincere thanks to all the volunteers, friends, and sponsors of the Order for the invaluable support they give to the members of the Lithuanian society – the sick, the disabled, and the weak. On the occasion of this significant festival, the Head of Government sends the Order the best wishes from the people of Lithuania.
